Defaming Pictures After Arrest

hello i was charged with a serious of crimes back in febuary 2011. upon being charged a series of sites and news brodcasting has pictures of me on their site. news stations webs and etc… i kno they had the right to show the public local news at that time but i was found not guilty of this matter this past aug 2011. and the pictures are still available everytime my name is googled. i know for a fact that thats not fair to me and my family. people can continue to look at me different of something i didnt do…. plz help if you can this is total defamation of character…..

You are correct. Unfortunately, all those sites do have the right to display the pictures even though you were found not guilty. There honestly is no legal mechanism that exists right now to force the take down of that material. Your best approach is going to be to approach them one-by-one and plead your case nicely for removal. If you bluff and say you are going to sue, they know it wont be true and will instantly delete your request.
